FTO cordinators contacted Maitreejit Christian School, outside of Chiang Mai, to put on our first Good Life Club (GLC) of the year for 100 students on Jan. 27, 2026. An FTO team and friends of the organization joined for the morning program, and it was a real joy to interact with the students and provide encouragement and supplies to the staff.

The GLC program began with introductions by the FTO team, followed by a few songs, explaining God’s love and peace through the lyrics and handmotions, teaching the students about God’s presence in our lives. It was an engaging time that got the students moving.

After the time of singing, Jonathan Bohrer, a member of our aviation department, stood in front of the group of students and offered a short testimony of faith. He spoke about the story of Noah from Genesis, then tied it into a personal experience that taught him about God’s promises, and why we should never lose faith in the Lord’s plan for our lives and the lives of those around us.

We then passed out a single sheet of paper to each student while a demonstrator instructed them on how to build a paper airplane. Such a simple craft led to over 20 minutes of fun for the kids, as they flew their new creations across the room and excitedly ran to collect them.

After the craft, it was time to get the kids moving again. A series of games, including versions of tag, commenced for over an hour. The students were given plenty of opportunities to run and tire themselves out, and the smiles on their faces was a blessing to see. We then led the students in our classic FTO dance, which includes thematic hand motions and dance moves tying back to God’s promises and presence in our life. We desired to share the love of Jesus in a way that bridges cultural and language barriers.

The GLC program ended with a distribution of snacks and Gospel bracelets, premade by the FTO team, with each colored bead representing a stage in God’s plan for us. We prayed with the students and took a photo before the students disbursed for lunch. After the program FTO team members met with the leaders of Maitreejit Christian School to gift them school supplies for their younger students. We thank Maitreejit school for having us and look forward to future GLC programs.

Thanks and God bless,

The Free The Oppressed team.
